Megatek Consulting Engineers Sdn. Bhd. formally known as Perunding Megatek was established back in 1998, with the intention to establish a company that can provide value for money engineering consultancy services in all aspect of civil and structural engineering works. The company expanded rapidly in 2000, securing jobs, mostly on the design of infrastructure for housing development, mainly due to the tireless effort of the partners.

 

As the company grows, the numbers of partner have increased to three engineer partners, collectively with many years of experience in all aspect of consultancy works mainly in Civil and Structural Engineering Services. The tireless effort of the few engineers working on the present trench of construction in structural design particularly in precast construction method, has gained the company worthy experience in this specialized works which in turn become synonymous to the clientele. The innovative design concept, stem from the various experience had often enable a very economical and cost-effective, yet not compromising the construction efficient design of the projects. The company had set its target to achieve the following objective in order to achieved total client satisfaction:

With its innovative and reliable design in the various aspects of constructions, Megatek Consulting Engineers Sdn. Bhd. had often been invited, and actively working with Contractors, in various Design-and- Build projects, especially in various industrial related developments.

 

To date, As the demand for this attractive alternative design against the conventional method of construction increased, Megatek has been given the task through it’s associates company, Megatek & Associates Co Ltd in Thailand to adopt the same for the government affordable housing scheme of more than 50,000 units in Bangkok. During 2005-2006, Megatek has extensively introduce the shear wall design using tunnel form system into local condominium development project as alternative system to original adopted post-tensioning flat slab design, which are the best system for earthquake resistance. Besides that, Megatek have also introduced the pre-cast structural system for affordable housing scheme of more than 5,000 units of 5-storey walk up apartment, and also adopted value engineering management into the local factory construction, in order to minimize the construction cost to achieve client satisfaction.

 

During year 2010 onwards, Megatek Consulting Engineers Sdn. Bhd. has grown and expanded the consultancy service to East Malaysia (Sabah) and Kuala Lumpur city centre. with associates with some consultants, we have extensively introduced the IBS system for industrial buildings, college/education centre, student & staff quarters, commercial buildings, hospitals, residential project including high rise condominium in order to achieve the same ultimate goal.
